Lesson Overview

This A2 ESL lesson explores the topic “Describing People”, helping students learn useful vocabulary and phrases for describing people's age, height, build, hair, and facial features.

Learners practise using everyday adjectives such as young adult, elderly, tall, slim, athletic, blonde, curly, bald, and muscular, while developing their ability to describe friends, family members, classmates, and famous people. They also practise using have/has and am/is/are to create accurate descriptions.

Through a variety of engaging activities, students build confidence describing people's appearance, correcting common grammatical mistakes, reading descriptions, answering comprehension questions, and expressing opinions about appearance and personality.

This lesson is ideal for A2 learners who are developing their ability to talk about people, appearance, family, friends, and everyday personal topics.
