Lesson Overview
In this B2 conversation class, students continue exploring the topic of driving from the previous lesson, Are You a Good Driver. They discuss their own driving habits, experiences, and attitudes while exploring what makes someone a good driver and how different people behave behind the wheel.
Key words, adjectives, and themes from the previous lesson are continued and developed throughout the class. Students revisit vocabulary such as cautious, confident, aggressive, patient, responsible, and reckless, using these words in new contexts to describe themselves and other drivers.
Students then explore different driving personality types and discuss how personality, emotions, and experience can affect behaviour on the road. They take part in a driving personality test and consider which characteristics best describe them.
Finally, students practise speaking through a range of engaging conversation activities, including “This or That?” questions, driving dilemmas, and thought-provoking discussion questions. They develop their ability to give opinions, explain their choices, and consider different perspectives while building on language from the previous lesson.
